Large Number Cards

The full set of large number cards, 1 through 9,000, at true physical size — card width grows with each place so the cards stack to compose numbers.

For use with: Large Number Cards, Golden Beads & Mat

In this kit

36 number cards (1–9,000)

Assembly

  1. Print all pages on cardstock at 100% scale; check the 1-inch square on page 1.
  2. Cut each card out along the dashed lines — the widths matter, so cut carefully on the line.
  3. Sort into four stacks by color: green units, blue tens, red hundreds, green thousands.
  4. To compose a number, stack the cards right-aligned: 3,000 + 200 + 50 + 1 laid on top of each other reads 3251, exactly as with the classroom material.

Print at 100% scale on cardstock and check the 1-inch square on page 1 before cutting. Printing tips

A free Montessori mathematics resource for families — ages 4–12. No accounts, no tracking: just lessons to read, materials to explore, and worksheets to print.

Virtual materials are a substitute for when the real thing isn't available — hands on real beads is always best. All child practice beyond the materials themselves is designed for pencil and paper.
